Not a full recap. Just the kisses, chaos, and emotional crimes. 💘✨

“Still no kiss by episode 7. I’m filing official violation paperwork.” – Zen-ah, legally betrayed and emotionally on edge.
🚨 The Ex Won’t Leave and Mom is Confused
After finally telling her cheating ex they’re done, Seok Ryu finds him… back at her house the next morning. Last night her mom was beating him with a purse. This morning? She’s dressing her daughter up to look cute for him??

Make it make sense.
Thankfully, our grumpy softboy Seung Hyo steps out to save the day and offers her a ride to class, on his bike, no less. Cue what should’ve been a classic romantic cherry blossom ride, but instead, he snaps at her mid-pedal and ruins the moment.
So she walks the rest of the way alone. Because of course she does.
🥹 Soft Moments & Side-Eye Confessions
Later that night, after telling her mom to stop interfering, Seok Ryu runs into Seung Hyo again. They fuss (standard), but this time… he follows her.
He actually talks to her.
He brings up her question from earlier, what he meant when he said she drives him crazy, and she asks him to tell her later. He agrees.

And it’s… sweet. Tender, even. Like maybe, just maybe, he’s about to start acting like a functioning romantic lead.
But then he asks if she’ll see the ex again. She promises she doesn’t plan to.
(Spoiler: they both end up at lunch with their exes at side-by-side tables, like a K-drama double date from hell. The tension is so thick, I nearly choked on my own disbelief.)
🍴 Petty Lunch Dates and Verbal Violence
The exes act like they’re still together. Seok Ryu and Seung Hyo? Miffed. VERY miffed.

And naturally, instead of using his words like a healthy human, Seung Hyo returns to his cutting tone and says liars are the people he hates most. (Smooth, buddy.)
We are now seven episodes in and there is still no kiss. Printing out the violation paperwork and highlighting every offense in pink glitter pen. 💅
🦸♀️ Mo Eum’s Redemption Arc: Spider-Man Who?
Meanwhile, Mo Eum and Dan Ho are giving us a wholesome side story that I LIVE FOR.
She has a heart-flutter moment watching him walk his daughter Yeon Du home from kindergarten. Then BAM, a car crashes into a light pole right in front of them. Mo Eum leaps into action and saves the driver like an absolute superhero.

Later, Yeon Du finds her and puts a bandaid on her cheek, telling her she’s cooler than Spider-Man. (My son would fight this claim with honor, but I digress.)
As they walk home, because they’re literal next-door neighbors now, Mo Eum shares the story of a true hero: a man who got out of his car to direct traffic so her ambulance could get a dying child to the hospital in time.
And guess what? It was Dan Ho. 🥹
🏊♂️ The Pool of Feelings and the Softboy Awakening
Our babies win the contest to redesign the high school pool, the pool where Seung Hyo almost made it to the Olympics. He learns that Seok Ryu has called their old principal like a hundred times to see if the results are out.
He stares into the pool water, and I swear a wise drama water spirit whispers:

“Go confess, you emotionally clogged moron.”
AND HE LISTENS.
He runs to where she is, and in the most awkward, adorable, breathless way possible, he confesses.
“You drive me crazy… because I like you.” 😭💕
He tells her he’ll wait for her answer. A REAL adult conversation?? In this show??? Miracles do happen.
🪟 Window Peeking and Milk Expiration Romance
That night, they’re in their respective houses, both low-key having panic attacks because they like each other. It’s the CUTEST.
We get a flashback that Seok Ryu had a baby crush on little Seung Hyo too. My heart is full. 💗

They keep peeking out their windows at each other like awkward teen drama leads and I am LIVING.
The next morning, after a totally sleepless night, she asks if he was serious and if she can take her time to answer. He says yes… but only until the milk he bought expires. 🥹
“Take all the time you want, as long as it’s before that milk goes bad.”
C’MON THAT’S ADORABLE. 🥛💕
💭 Final Thoughts, Emotional Growth, Milk Deadlines, and a Hero Finally Arriving
We are FINALLY making progress. Grumpy boy confessed. Baby girl is glowing. Mo Eum is saving lives and winning back tiny hearts. And I’m actually feeling the swoon potential rise.
Still no kiss, though. And that’s fine. I’m not mad.
…just quietly filing a formal complaint with the Sparkle Drama Oversight Committee.

💜 Loved this flail? There’s a whole archive of chaos waiting for you.
